Air 2s Madeira

We visites Madeira this past fall and made a family video of it. It is filmed with Mavic Air 2s, but to make it a little more dynamic we also included GoPro videos.
Madeira is a beutiful Portuguese island in Atlantic ocean, also known as the Hawai of Europe. We come from Slovenia, which is a beautiful country by itself, but this was really another level.

but the approach to Funchal airport puts me off

Well, the airport shouldn't put you off, I know what you mean tho, but in every other aspect it is a totally awsome experience. You can go to a viewpoint to observe landing of planes, under the construction of the airport there is a dry dock marina, tennis fields, golf course, skatepark, some bars... I assume they also have stricter restrictions regarding the flying to/from Madeira. Pilots need special license for using this airport, I think they also postpone a lot of flights if the weather is remotely suspicious (too windy)...

It would be a shame not to see Madeira, if given the opportunity

Definitely on my bucket list, absolutely stunning. Liked your idea of mixing drone with GoPro footage. Thought it worked well

What wonderful video! Not only did you show off all the foliage and the other places, you also recorded your family enjoying such a beautiful place with you. I can only imagine what they thought of the trip. Question: during a couple your shots (~2:10 & ~3:40) there were those rolling seats. Were they part of a city tour? Made me smile a bit when the men caused it to 'drift' around the corners. I guess I watch too many Fast & Furious movies.

These are famous Funchal tobogans. They are basically wooden sledge. The riders navigate them from behind, using their shoes, rope and weight.
I think they started using them in 19th century because Madeira is very steep (up to 33%) - so they got downhill faster. Today it is only a tourist attraction, whole ride lasting aprox. 10minuts.
