I have some drainage issues on 2 1/2 acres. I'd like to have my Mavic 2 Pro "follow" me as I mow, and make a map of the altitude changes. Is that possible? Is there a better way?
Thanks

How much variation is there between high and low points on the property?I have some drainage issues on 2 1/2 acres. I'd like to have my Mavic 2 Pro "follow" me as I mow, and make a map of the altitude changes. Is that possible? Is there a better way?
Thank you. I'm guessing that the total variation would be less than a meter (it's West Texas). 363 days a year there's no problem, and on the other two we're pretty busy. How much variation is there between high and low points on the property?
The obvious method would be to use mapping app to fly a mapping mission and do photogrammetric analysis.
Here's an example from a golf course showing 0.25 metre contours.

Thank you; I missed your reply earlier. I appreciate the information! There are quite few free (in their basic forms) mapping apps for drones.
I have downloaded a few but never tried them, DroneDeploy, Pix4D, and one open source I haven't checked is opendronmap.org
Other than a specialised mapping type app above, DJI apps won't do what you want.

As we speak, the SC is not officially supported by PIX4d, but they are working on it...I have an SC so I guess my options are Pix4D
