Big day tomorrow folks. The Mars Perseverance Rover that launched 07/30/2020 is scheduled to land upon the surface of Mars, and as mentioned in previous threads, there is a small UAV attached to this Rover (Ingenuity) marking what will hopefully be the first test of powered flight on another planet. Follow along tomorrow at mars.nasa.gov

For those interested, NASA has a podcast called 'Houston We Have a Podcast'. In the latest episode (approx 45 mins) they discuss the entry, descent, and landing phases of the rover which is a 7 minute phase of this mission that will occur today.

Landing should be around 1554PM EST today.
Landing??? Well one hopes so...but if anything else it will be much earlier :p I will be glued to the ole' YouTube...Hey wait I wonder if it will be on my "Nasa" channel on my TV lineup?

Edit: Yes...yes it is :) Thanks, Hulu TV Thumbswayup

Well quite a nail biter......but she is down and working so far. :)
That was great to watch! Amazing and inspiring to see all those people working together to pull off such a complicated mission. I guess we will find out about that gimbal cover shortly!
