Hello Mavic pilots!
I have another question! Unfortunately
I didn't find the right one.

I have a Mavic 2 Pro coreboard, it has NO water damage. Unfortunately, it always shows the error “error in the optical sensor pointing downwards to the left” and right.
(see photo) the sensors look good.

IMG_7993.JPGDo you have any ideas what else I can do?

There are two types of downward sensors at the bottom : the IR sensor and camera sensor. Only the latter has sides as there are two cameras, one at the front and the other at the back. I believe "left" and "right" may be just translation mistakes ?

If the camera sensors are not working, they may either be faulty or just uncalibrated. May worth trying a calibration.

Thanks for the answer.

I'll try the calibration with Assistant 2 for Mavic again at the weekend.

Greetings from Germany.

That's a good idea. Assistant gives you a view of what the camera you're currently calibrating sees.

Have you checked that they are clean.
I had bits of splatted bug on one of my side sensors causing an error message. One of my flying buddies told me he had finger prints in his and though he didnt get error message he did get issues with it detecting obstacles at incorrect distances

Yes, I dealt with a sensor error by cleaning the sensor..

You may see somthing like this when calibrating the downward camera sensors. For some reasons, the cameras are labelled as left/right instead of front/back in accordance with their actual mounting positions

Hello everybody!
I got around to checking the Mavic 2 Pro over the weekend.

I tried to calibrate the Mavic 2 Pro with the DJI Assistant 2 for Mavic.
When I do the calibration, only the first step works with the front sensors.
in the next step when I want to do the downward sensor calibration, they are not displayed! (see photo). I cannot go on and cancel the calibration.

- I did an update and that is 100%
- the sensors are clean.
- the core board has no water damage.

Do you have another idea?

otherwise I'll try the sensors of another Mavic 2 Pro / Zoom and yours.

!!! problem solved:

I ordered 2 new downward vision sensors in China and installed them. Installation was very easy. I turned on the Mavic 2 Pro and no errors were displayed. I didn't have to calibrate either. So it was the sensors. Of course I also cleaned the glass on the cover.
