Mavic 2 Pro Homepoint oddity

When flying my Mavic 2 today I was using a PGYTECH landing pad. I noticed when my Mavic 2 took off it immediately moved forward about a foot and hovered at the usual 4 feet. Any ideas why it jumps forward instead of going straight up vertical?

Did you notice any obstacle avoidance beeping?

Does this happen repeatedly, even if you move the landing pad to a different location?

was it windy , or was the landing pad not on a level surface

Oops sorry I replied to the wrong thread... back on track now...

Ok I was launching in front of a ditch full of reeds that were about 6 feet high but they were about 15 feet away from the landing pad. I was standing about 6 feet behind to the left. I don't recollect the OA beeping. But it was moving a foot towards the reeds not away so I don't think they were causing it. It wasn't windy. I will have to move about and see if it does it in different places.
When you take of from a landing pad are you supposed to be a particular distance away?

Flew again tonight and sat 20 feet away and it was ok. Maybe me standing 6 feet away behind at 8.00 o' clock spooked it. I am sure the OA didn't sound though.
