Hi,

I've been trying to identify the way to input the Operator's ID Into the drone as per coming soon legislation requirements in Singapore (where I am based in).

DJI Mavic 3 Classic User Manual
Direct Remote ID
1. Transport Method: Wi-Fi Beacon
2. Method of uploading the UAS Operator Registration Number to the aircraft: Enter DJI Fly >
Safety > UAS Remote Identification, and then upload UAS Operator Registration Number.

Unfortunately I don't see anything like this under the Safety tab assuming this is the dji fly of the remote controller... or it has to be on a smart phone? Any experience / anybody encountering the same issue?

All firmware is up to date.

The answer from the internet seems to be that DJI doesn’t activate remote ID untill after it is required in the country you are in. So if it’s not actually required yet that may be why

Thank you. That's very possible. I had a conversation with DJI CS yesterday about R-ID in another drone, mini 4 pro, where Operator ID is not even mentioned in the user manual. They sell this drone in Singapore with the plus battery so the weight goes above 250g and Operator ID will be required. In short, the answer was, if the legislation is confirmed they will likely issue a firmware upgrade to address it.

Yea and I think you have to know that DJI used to have a program called aeroscope which was a remote ID like system that was enabled on all drones and DJI got hammered for privacy concerns and spying which it is still recovering from so it’s easy to see why they would be reluctant to do that again unless it is legally required.
