Mavic 3 Pro backward stuck camera after front collision with the ground

Got my Mavic 3 Pro camera stuck in a backward position after the front collision with the ground. Tried to rotate the camera manually but the camera doesn't want to click into the forward position. Has anyone else encountered such a problem?

With the scar on the right side of the roll arm, you have probably bent the shaft on that little motor. It doesn’t take much to provide that damage.

so forward rotation is not possible? the camera seems jammed in that backward position

If it doesn’t rotate on its own, very likely there is damage.
You can certainly force it to whatever position you desire, but that won’t fix the problem.

One of my old Phantom 3 Standards drifted into a radio mast and crashed with the result that the camera wound up pointing backward. I looked on YouTube and found a video that explained in step-by-step detail how to restore the camera back to its original orientation.

I would never have figured out that repair with a trial-and-error approach but by following the video clip directions, I was able to complete the repair in 15 minutes with basic tools.

Before you lavish money on a DJI repair ticket, it might be worthwhile scouring YouTube to see if this type of crash damage has been fixed by anyone who then posted the procedure online.

You can try this BUT if your Drone is under warranty I would not mess with it and send it in. This is how its done on the Mavic 2. Starz is right, You can force the gimbal back, but if it is damaged you will only make the problem worse.

WOW! that gimbal has had a hell of a bang. Concur with other similar replies - pack it up and let DJI put it right.

DIY the simple stuff and when the bird is well out of warranty, but gimbal and camera repairs are notoriously troublesome. If you have a crack at it with a spudger or tweezers you might get a positive result first time... but then again: you might not.

I fix a lot of Minis, Mavics, and Air. The cameras pitch roll and yaw limits are mechanical. I have yet to fix an M3 camera so I cant tell you what is broke but something is definitely broke. In this parts breakdown photo (I know its not your camera) part number 7 is the mechanical limit for pitch. I cant find parts for your camera unfortunately. You may need to replace the entire camera/gimbal assembly. Contact P1drones.com they may be able to help you.
