Mavic 4 hits the FCC.

I don't think ever. There's just not a big enough market in the consumer space. Hence these multi-camera solutions.

How many recreational pilots are willing to spend many hundreds, if not thousands depending, on changeable lenses? Very few, IMO, especially with 2 and 3 camera systems available that meet 99% of their needs.

To be fair, this is just my opinion. I have no market data to refer to.
I have the original Magic 3 pro and use both ND and a pola filter when needed. How do you use filters on the new models with 3 lenses and the odd shaped camera??? I really think DJI could use a prosumer model in between the current Mavic and inspire.

That’s so strange. How do you rotate the pola?
The polarizer is a completely different looking thing where it is just one large circle that covers everything and allows you to rotate the basil. The images of the three separate Len systems as shown do not include polarizer.

I think I'll wait for a camera with interchangeable lenses and a larger sensor. Hopefully, they will make something in between the Mavic and Inspire for us still photographers. With the threat of the ban on DJI, I'm surprised Sony doesn't improve and update the Airspeak. Other than battery life, it's a great choice for some of us.

I didn't think the Mavic 3 Pro was a consumer model. There are quite a few of us who use the Mavic 3 for pro work, but it could use a camera upgrade, and many would gladly spend the money for a better camera and lenses. I just don't understand why DJI left a gap from $3000 to $15,000 in their lineup. Which is why I was hoping the Mavic 4 might be the in-between model.

Assuming the M4 doesn't lose features (like variable aperture) and things just get better (flight time....sensor...occusync..) I'll bite on a better M4 but at this point I'll probably sell some of my drones...older Avata, Mavic 3 and Mavic 3 Pro will probably go on the chopping block. I've mostly just given away my older drones so I guess I have to think about xmas presents for family and friends but I think I've given away stuff to anyone interested so maybe time to sell. Shipping from Alaska gets a bit crazy....oh well.

Bought a Mavic 3 Cine on closeout a few months ago, so I probably will pass on a Mavic 4, especially if it still uses a 4/3" sensor. The Pro is overkill for my purposes. Still learning to use a dual lens system effectively. I also just got the Air 3S, so I have a taste of LiDAR and its capabilities.

If you're kind of new to multi lens drones...here's a tip that doesn't get much attention but it is one of my most used options and that is doing panoramas with the tele lens. You have to do them manually when using the 7x tele but for mountain ranges (my bailiwick) or potentially other distant scenes, shooting an image and using the tic/tac/toe overlay to move to the right or left by two thirds of the scene and combining the results using something like Lightroom can produce stunning panoramas. I keep an eye on exactly where a crossing point in the tic tac toe rests and then pan to the side to put the other crossing point on that spot. Rinse and repeat as needed. Sometimes I will go across several times (as many as 9 across) and then down a row....and maybe down another row. If you shoot AEB as I commonly do you definitely want a program to help stitch them all together ! When encorporating them into a video I typically will hold the intial frame for a few seconds and then in my NLE (FCP) I slide across the image giving the illusion of having filmed it but result is a much higher resolution image with a perfectly smooth pan.

Good to know, thanks for the info!
