Mavic 4 Pro Range with RC Pro?

The Mavic 4 Pro has an advertised range of over 18 miles. Theoretically. Do you need the RC Pro 2 to achieve this range, or will the current RC Pro controller get the same range?

The RC 2 is also only OS 4 and not OS 4+ like the RC Pro 2., so the range on the RC Pro 2 is slightly better than on the RC 2. However, as a practical matter, I doubt you'd see the difference, unless flying suicide missions!

Plus much faster deployment, a brighter, much more enjoyable flight experience, and the screen rotates for easier menu access on longer screens that otherwise require scrolling to find all the settings.

However, if you are flying VLOS, the range difference alone won't matter. Both now also offer Dynamic Home Point, which was not the case initially.

Don't that that to me! I am in hut for RC Pro 2 myself! I bought mine, the "fly more combo" and that one came with RC2. I am in hunt for RC Pro 2 ever since, but now you are making me wanting it more!

As I mentioned earlier, if anyone knows a good source where to buy it, for a reasonable price, let me know! I am not that super confident buying it off eBay anymore, with Korean sellers charging hundreds of $$$ for shipping and who knows what tariffs I will get charged by customs. I was in fact thinking to reach out to my Canadian friend and have him order it there (hoping its not that overly priced like what Adorama and B&H is selling it here in US) and have him ship it to me as "gift", that should avoid any tariffs, I assume....

Not really. The gift trick is not a thing. Your best bet today is still eBay South Korea. We've done a lot of research to help choose the sellers who can get you past tariffs with no "additional" customs fees and while there are no guarantees, we're pretty confident we know who they are although that window is likely closing soon.

Korean sellers have raised the shipping prices at the same time they lowered the selling price, it's a strategy; the overall prices haven't changed that much. For the buyer, it's not going to matter; the bottom line is still the same. On eBay, I believe they charge sales tax on shipping (to prevent $1 + $2000 shipping loophole).

Are you aware the M4P creator combo drone is a *different* drone than the base M4P that comes with the RC2 kit? Buying the RCPro2 is going to be costly, I almost want to say you should buy the CC kit and sell what you have if you don't need a backup.

The main advantage of the RC 2 over the RC Pro 2 is you can install adapters to hook up an external antenna so you can mount an amplified antenna outside of your home or outside of your car. Or without an amplifier. I'm an expert on this topic in that Alientech doesn't sell the adapter kit for the RC Pro 2. (ALIENTECH QMA IPX adapter connector cable feeder for DJI RC2 AIR3 MINI 4-PRO MAVIC 3, etc...) you can use cables or hook an antenna up directly to these shown in the photo!

Didn’t know about the time lapse one. I’ve read some comments which could indicate that the creator version already has the LTE modem installed, but I don’t have that version to confirm.
