Mavic Air 2 and the rain...?

any sort of moisture from fog to rain to going into water like a river etc ,can and will cause damage to the inner workings of your drone and also could get into the camera ,they are not designed to fly in wet conditions ,there are a couple of specialist, so called waterproof drones that have all the electronics sealed in a watertight casing that can even land and take off from water
and yet they make drones that can fly in the rain , why do we pay triple what the ones that can fly in the rain , DJI needs to do some weather proofing these expensive toys of which i have two

Flying in the rain would mean standing in the rain with your mobile device and controller.

Common sense has to be applied, ! If you are taking off in the Rain knowing that your going up in a storm you OF COURSE find shelter, if you get caught in the Rain , Shelter might not be so easy but either way having the Wet Suit it going to Benefit your flight.

We never planned on making the Wet suit for the Mavic 2 as it looked pretty good all by itself.

That is until we flew it in the rain for 3 minutes and the battery had a small coy pond in it.
Next we dropped a few drops of water on top of the Power Button and within a few minutes the Battery was compromised.

That is only reason we decided to make the Wet Suit for what looked liked a solid drone.

Needless to say the Air 2 followed the same battery design and because of that We will be releasing the New Air 2 Wet Suits in a few days.

You can learn a lot about your battery and the seal by just running it under the sink for 20 seconds .

Actually I crashed my MA2 at first night and go and find it next morning after rain.
When I return home, cleaned it. There was water at battery connects. I have gimbal error only, which I belive because of the impact and looks line no issue because of the rain.1.jpg2.png3.png

If the fan is pushing air OUT of the drone, it has to be sucking air IN through some other opening.

We did something "

After flying, what are the procedures for storage?

We dont do anything but just put it on a shelf, no wiping the lens, no drying with a towel, no rice.
The drone and the wet suit take care of itself.

The only warning is that you do not want to leave your battery Sealed longer than the flight , if you leave the battery in the drone you wont have an easy time getting it out and if you leave it in overnight you will have to peel it back to loosen it.

Can you elaborate a little bit please. Sorry, I just finished a 13 hour work day

its your drone, you can choose to fly in any condition but i'm not flying a 1000$ electronic in rain.
@him7403 But you will be super jealous when you are inside while it rains and you see my MA2 whipping around in the storm getting amazing footage. My goal is not to fly in the rain, however, if I want to fly and it happens to be raining, I want to have the option to fly.
