Mavic Air 2 decending in active track mode??

Hello all, I dont use active track very often I usually just track manualy, but I am wanting to track myself on my bike so I tried tracking a car for practice. Almost imediatly after I started the active track the drone started to go down toward the car. I stopped the active track immediatly and am now scared to use it again. Is it normal for it to do this?? Thanks.
