Mavic air 2 tracking disaster

I put my Ma2 into tracking mode and proceeded to drive up a gradual incline, it followed me for a bit then decided to land in the road with oncoming traffic . Near miss...
Any help or suggestions will be appreciated

No warnings on GoFly app? Auto landing is usually due to battery power being to low.

"A bit", as in 35 minutes?

I don't trust my air2 to change altitude. I know people say it will. but I use it walking facing me and I know that it will get so low to the ground that I have to manually raise it. It's strange because it won't allow you to enter the mode if you are too low.
