Even if you believe all of those reviewers are not being genuine (at least some of them must be biased), there are a lot of nuggets of information that can be gathered from those videos.
Well said sir

I have applied for the program though have not received any mail yet confirming it.
Is something that I am missing?? Or we will just get a mail if are choosen?
Any news on when DJI is going to release the drones for this program? I signed up for it. Even though I have said I am not interested in buying one, quite possibly, if they send me one and I like it, I will buy it. I am a HUGE sucker for panoramic and the MAVIC pro pano's absolutely suck.
Alot faster??? Only 2.5 mph fasterI was flying my mavic last night, maxed out speed with a tail wind was like 40mph. I flew it out to 15,000 feet or just under 3 miles away and it did great and came back with 40% battery life.
I know I was knocking the Mavic Air in other posts but ... if they came out with a new battery for it that was much larger and could get another 5 real mins of flight time it might be a contender.
I like the top speed of the Air because it seems much faster than the Pro. I hope I get picked to demo a unit and maybe that will change my mind.
Though I am really holding out to see what the mavic 2 and Autel Evo are going to be like before I buy anything new.
Yea they are just cant do it in any windIt said after February 5.
I think the Mavic Pro's panos are amazing.
So to watch his own!
FWIW, obstacle avoidance in the MP is not perfect (and it's been out for quite some time now). There are countless posts of people describing how the MP comes to a dead halt when flying toward the sun.

The actual sign up link for this program can be found here.
While the idea of receiving a free Mavic Air sounds incredible, those who receive one will need to complete some unknown tasks in order to keep it. Here's what the details of the offer state:
"Chosen applicants are required to sign an "Equipment Loan Agreement" before acquiring a trial Mavic Air. By signing the Agreement, they are obligated to complete specified content tasks required by DJI. If the quality of content tasks exceed the standards set by DJI, users may be allowed to keep the trial Mavic Air, free of charge. All other users will be required to return their trial Mavic Air by a specified deadline. For more details, please refer to DJI specialists and the Agreement."

With this program, you actually have to buy it first and then get a credit when you return it, they won't just send you a free one LOL
For sure. I stoped to use obstacle avoidance in my MP for this reason. I had two deadly stops when flying Litchi missions, one at a pretty high altitude over the ocean (I started from a high cliff). During this mission that I aborted in switching to sport mode (thanks God, I had some uplink despite the presence of a hill between the Mavic and me), it took me at least one minute to recover the full control of the drone. I always plan my missions with a circular path in order to make sure that the drone will come back to me even if if the link is lost. That time was the first time I had a moment of panic when the drone was stupidly hovering facing the sunset. Now I systematically switch off these bloody sensors, totally unuseful for this kind of flight carefully planified in Google Earth and the Litchi hub.
