I have my 4 years old mavic air (the first one) and I'm getting RC signal lost all the time. Today I was flying at sunrise and I checked wifi channels and from 1-10 they were unstable and 11-13was empty, so I manually chose 12 channel (It was 2.8). In 22m height I lost my image trans. signal... So I chose 143 channel (5.8) and same issue, 22m and image signal lost. And I noticed that it wasn't effecting RC signal... SO i changed to auto, restarted the drone and It was better, but I flew only 200m(30m height) and signal lost and auto-RTH started... Also I tried to flew as high as I can - 71m then RC signal lost and auto-RTH and I noticed that I was at that height I wasn't going higher, but all of a sudden the RC was lost.
It is normal to have so bad RC signal in town on open field and with antenas pointed at the drone? Can wifis and telephone signal antenas cause this serious RC loses?
