I agree with you . My little Tello is always ready to throw up anywhere, as long as there's no wind. It is the easiest one to carry around, always ready, light, capable of good photos, and quite durable.The cheapest "DJI experience" is the DJI/Ryze Tello drone. It's $100 or so and has DJI/Intel tech in it - you don't even need a remote to fly. Camera isn't horrible either and it's a million times better than the actual toy brands commonly found online like Holy Stone, Syma, Blade, Hubsan, etc.

I had a go with one of those the other day and loved it. If I was in that market I’d snap one up right away and like you say, the footage wasn’t bad either.
