Great resourceHave you compared the differences to see what would work for you feature-wise? If not, you can find a detailed comparison of those drones here:
DJI Consumer Drone Comparison
I’m not familiar with all DJI drones but my Refurbished Mavic Pro is a dream to fly. The Parrot Anafi is a better choice than the Air, in my humble opinion. Whichever you choose, enjoy it it. ???I am seriously considering up grading from my Air to a Mavic Pro maybe. Any help on what to choose would be much appreciated.
DJI doesn't break the law, but you definitely do - flying 6 miles away.My advice:
Sell the air, buy a M2. You will not be disappointed.
Biggest thing for me is OccuSync 2 and small increase in battery capacity. Night and day difference from the M1, much less the MAir.
I can sit in my car in winter, doors closed, and still have miles of range.
I can fly six miles before I have to come back, and that's usually because of the battery, not the connection dropping out.
I have no clue how DJI managed to make OccuSync as robust as it is.
They have to be breaking some FCC law somewhere... right?? Maybe not. But DJI certainly has some unparalleled tricks up their sleeve when it comes to wireless transmission systems.
Seriously, the M2 will make the Air feel cheap. Do it!
I own both, and both have their places that they excel over the other. I started out with the M2P and then bought the zoom just 2 weeks ago or so. I wanted the 2P because of the rich photography that it offers. I do a lot of landscape and dawn/dusk photography. Sunrises and sunsets and what not. The M2P is far superior in that aspect. BUT, I can honestly say that if I’m just out for a stroll and just wanting to fly for fun or for scouting wildlife, the zoom will be my go to UAS. The zoom is a fun feature that makes flying for fun that much more enjoyable. The controls of both the zoom and 2P are basically the same, with the exception of a few buttons for the zoom feature. The 2P has more camera control capability though which is expected since it is the better camera. So you just gotta decide what the intended purpose will be of your UAS to help decide which will be the better fit. If you’re hardcore photography, hands down the 2P. But if you’re just a hobbyist flyer looking to take to the skies and see all there is to see, I would highly suggest the zoom. How does the M2P Zoom equate ?
