Mavic in Montreal

Just arrived yesterday for a two-week stay. Can anyone give me advice or suggestions on flying my Mavic here? I've heard that the law regarding drones in Canada is crazy-strict. Was hoping to at least go out in the countryside and get some footage of the Fall foliage. I'm FAA 107 certified and I know that doesn't have any sway with the local officials, but I do fly by the FAA rules whenever I'm at home in the States.

Did you find places to fly? I would like to know too cause iam traveling to Montreal in march.
