Mavic Mini 1 & smart controller?

I have a Mavic Mini fly more combo but don't use it as I prefer to fly my Mavic 2 zoom using the smart controller.

I know you can use the smart controller with the Mavic Mini 2 but can I download updated firmware to allow me to use my smart controller with my Minin 1?
If not I think I may sell my Mavic Mini 1 and buy the Mini 2

MM is not compatible with the SC, different transmission technologies.
