There are 2 checks on entrance into the country.
Most of the time my luggage just goes through the tunnel (#1),
and the “go through everything (#2)” being the worst, of course.
Actually 3, if you count when you (rarely) get to go straight
through with no check of any kind, not even the xray
tunnel. In my case, it was flagged at the x-ray tunnel.
Actually I was surprised because it was in the fly more combo
case. Since I come here quite often I am aware of their drone
rules, which are anything under $499 they can’t tax or whatever.
Last month I brought my spark which of course has the no folding
arms and wasn’t flagged. The young agent opened the drone
case and immediately started taking photos and looking on
the internet for cost. No worries, I knew the results. No hassle
or anything. ... it seems they need to make some bucks.
Hmm, maybe stick your M-Pro in your coat pocket ... the only thing
they weren’t putting in the tunnel.

How was flying/shooting there? Thinking of heading there after holiday rush; any recommendations for good spots?

Where area will you be going to?
Guayaquil, Quito, Quenca.
Baños would be great.
Galapagos - no drone flights.

I am fortunate to work for an airline that flies there (GYE and UIO), so once volume drops after the holidays we were thinking of a long weekend. Thanks for your response and Happy Holidays!
