Mavic Mini Crash Landing and a lesson learned

I suffered a crash landing today with my Mavic Mini. At first I thought I had suffered the dreaded uncommanded descent. However, on reviewing the the flight data on AirdataUAV and watching the video footage, an altogether different cause emerged. I can now see how it happened but had never considered the possibility before. In the end I was very lucky; the AC ploughed into long grass rather than tarmac so no damage was sustained.

If you want to achieve a smooth effect, start with the drone pointing at you and then pushing backward and upward. Then reverse in postprod.
