Hi DJI lovers!
My beloved Mavic Mini has been working great...but recently start to be unstable and 'jerky'.
Any idea why this might be?

I made a short test flight in light wind:

Here is video from the test flight in light wind. You can see that the gimbal cannot correct for the erratic movements

Hi there fellow countryman ? :D, welcome to the forum

This is what we have to relate to ... out from the manual.

During the flight you had a good GPS lock & a navhealth of 5, which is the best.

Below is out from the .TXT log & it shows the barometric height & the registered height above ground objects from the VPS sensor (waveheight) ... also heading speed & distance from the HP.

Nothing here in between the short periods where you made stick inputs (those inputs in a separate chart further below) is alarming.

Have marked 3 time periods on the timeline that should be relative free from stick inputs & by that fine to analyze ...

(click on all charts below to make them larger)

Here the stick inputs so you can relate speed & distance from HP changes in above chart ...

Below the pitch, roll & yaw changes ... nothing here either, pitch & roll only shows normal adjustments made by the flight controller to be able to keep the Mini in position.

And here the motor RPM's out from the .DAT log ... nothing surprising here either ... the 4 motors are quite tight in rpm which they should as it's hovering.

My conclusion is that your Mini show drifts slightly on the higher side compared to the spec, but nothing that is alarming ... do a IMU calibration & settle it with that.

That is about par for the course with that kind of wind
That hasn’t been my experience. My Mini 1 seems to cope with reasonably strong winds without too much of an issue. Certainly light winds don’t really have any noticeable effect on the image stability.

Video looks fine to me, unless the obvious pans and elevation changes weren't commanded.

No drone video is going to be freeze frame steady. Considering how much the MM1 has to work to keep steady in shifting winds, gimbal is remarkable. The MM1 doesn't have any weight to provide natural inertial dampening in shifting winds so flight control has to react faster but it can't be perfect. It actually does well, just sounds horrible.

Change props. Cures most mini flight ills. Even if there are no visible signs of problems. Only thing noticeable on film is a slight drift which is normal when filming in hover.

Can't see a single thing wrong with the drone in this video. I think you are looking for problems that aren't really there.

Thanks all for super quick and elaborate feedback, really appreciate it!!
It might just be my imagination, but it used to be 'nailed to the air' as some youtuber said and now it is moving around +-0.1m v/h, within spec i assume,
Chaning props is a good idea! My son did start it once with not to many GPS connected and ended up in a minor chrash, really small scratches on a couple of props.
Btw should the Mini LED blink red when flying, it does now when i increase altitude for instance and cannot remember it did before?

Again, many thanks :)

That is exactly my previous experience as well!
