I've been using Android for flying dji drones for 5 years with fly app and go4 as well and have never had the first issue. Only thing I've found is the remote charges an Android device and drains the RC faster but if you turn off fast charging you'll get 6 drone batteries worth out of your RC and not many fly more than 6 batteries out without needing to charge drone batteries so no reason you can't charge RC at same time
