Hello all! I bought the Mavic Pro 2 with the Smart Controller less than a month ago to get in the drone business (inspections and RE photography). Yesterday while flying it I got an error after I switched the battery. It was telling my there was "No Attitude Date to IMU" and I was not able to take off. I calibrated the compass and IMU and the problem did not go away. I went to DroneNerds and they told me it could be a problem with the Mother Board and there might be a problem with a loose cable. The next day, right before I left my office to go to UPS to send the Mavic to DJI so they can take a look at it (told me it takes 2-4 weeks to fix) I turned it on and it was working just fine. All I did was reset my smart controller to factory settings and it was perfect. I hovered it in my office until I drained the battery, roughly moved it around with my hands and it was fine. Today I did a topography inspection and it was perfect ( I was in the air for 25 minutes). Has anybody here experienced this sort of problem? and what do you guys recommend. Thank you!

YOU KNOW WHAT?? YOU SAVED MY LIFE :)

same happened to me after succesfull flight.. just did same as you did and now its back! DJI should look into it. posted to their forum.

after full format of same sd card. it worked as normal.

HERE IS ANOTER FIX TO THE "IMU -NO ATTITUDE DATA" ERROR: I got this secret from a DJI technician. He explained in certain circumstances the IMU overheats and cause errors or "needs re-calibration". He told me the errors remain in the IMU after it get's too hot. Even if you cool the IMU to room temperature it stays in error. TO RESET THE IMU, HE TOLD ME TO PUT IT IN THE REFRIGERATOR FOR 10 MINUTES ! I was pessimistic about this plan, but went ahead and did it. To my surprise the IMU had reset itself and there was no calibration error or no attitude data error. He said when the IMU gets over heated the microcircuits can stay fixed in place. To get them to switch back to their correct state, you have to cool the IMU significantly (just don't put it in the freezer). IT REALLY WORKED. I was in shock.
