I'm having a problem with the new Mavic Pro app. A few months ago I dropped my phone and broke it. It was replaced with the same make and model LG V20. My old phone had apparently an old app. DGI go 4 and it worked great on my other lg v20. I could see from my camera in my display on my phone take pictures and watch the scenery below from my camera on my drone. The altitude worked everything worked fine. I got the new phone and I've downloaded the app but it won't work with my replacement phone.I called DJI support they say they've upgraded the app and it does not include the LG V 20 phone. So does that mean they can update their app and exclude you because you have a certain phone seems like they should include all phones. Does that mean you're supposed to go out and buy a new phone every time they update their app I don't think so. Does anybody know how I can get a copy of the old app or what I can do to make it work with my phone. I'm hoping I posted this in the right place if not I do apologize, any help would be appreciated.

with the app being upgraded it means that it uses more of the processor that the phone is running on and unfortunately older versions are not compatable with the app you would be better off getting a tablet for your flying with the latest operating system

Which version of Android is currently running on this smartphone?

Thank you for your reply. DJI technician told me I might find the app that worked last on this form.

Android 8.0.0 kernel
If you also use the smartphone for everyday use, not exclusively for flying, then you could try to free more resources by de-activating or de-installing unused apps.

With the paid app: "Package Disabler", you can also paralyze apps that do not normally allow this.

It is worth trying to stop all unnecessary background processes on the smartphone.

However, you should have enough basic knowledge to be able to recognize unnecessary apps and system processes.

Sometimes it works wonders when a smartphone is returned to delivery status, and then only the most necessary is reinstalled. But even then should be looking for superfluous stuff.

Unfortunately, it is not uncommon that two technically identical Android Smartphones are sold with different software basic equipment.

It is quite possible that your new smartphone brings a disturbing app or base function, which can track down with a bit of luck, and then can be disabled. A special eye should be put on all social media and multi-media apps. In addition, backup and synchronization features can greatly slow down your smartphone.

Here is a list of phones based our (OP) feedback that @msinger has compiled. Click on the comment bubble to the extreme right for comments on how to make it work a little better.

IMHO by not using the latest version of GO 4 you are loosing out on a lot of enhancements.
