Mavic Pro Battery Mod

Hey experts, I am still new to and learning the hobby battery thang... I heard you guys talking about over charging your LiHv's and my charger won't charge mine above 4.3v and I was wondering the techniques you use to do this. Thanks in advance and don't shoot the noob here that should know better by now :)

Mine will take them up to 4.35

Yeah regular Lipo's will charge to 4.35 on the LiHV setting.

4000mah lihv, I charge LiHV BATT setting (4.0A, 11.4V(3S). when full charged.. ready go on long range, on power both Mavic, RC them 4000mah pulged.. hurry to hover been 4 times battery error (again to again botton on power mavic battery). unplugged 4000mah and pluged 4000mah to hover no battery error ok and dji app show cell 3 - 4.24 4.24 4.24. with my 6th long range done. I don't understanding.. How to regular Lipo's will charge to 4.35 on the LiHV setting? Can you show help How to charge with LiHV the youtube is better. any video link?

Charge the LiHV batteries to around 3.2V per cell to avoid battery errors on Mavic.

I wrong go charging the LiHV batteries.

"regular Lipo's will charge to 4.35 on the LiHV setting"
Means Use Lipo setting charge? 2.0A?

You are charging the LiHV correctly. The issue is with Mavic, not the LiHV batteries. The Mavic battery with a full charge is around 4.33V. If the externals are charged higher than the Mavic batteries, they start to charge the Mavic battery. This results in the Mavic battery switching off. This issue varies from Mavic to Mavic. My old Mavic was very sensitive and would switch off all the time. My newer Mavic doesn't switch off. I charge my externals to 4.35V and have no issues. It really depends on the Mavic. If yours is sensitive, then charge the externals slightly lower. You could use the Lipo setting to get to 4.20V. Then switch to LiHV setting and start changing again. Stop once the battery voltage reaches around 12.95 to 13.00V.

For all you record holders, what firmware are you running? I tried to upgrade one of my birds last night and now the go4 app won't connect to this mavic. Ugggggggg......

My charger allows settings for the battery type (Lipo/LiHv) and then MaH and Amps. The LiHv setting will only charge up to 4.3, how do you get it to charge to 4.35? There is not a lot of info on youtube about this.

I have a cheap charger without any settings except selecting battery type. My " real" charger is ancient and does not support LiHv voltage so also not possible to really overpack LiPo.
The chepo charger fills em up to 4.33v/Cell which was too much for good ole Creep anyway.
I don't think there is much you can do if you cannot select above 4.30..except for telling it to put more mAh into the cells.

Maybe the charger has firmware you can update? Hard to say. My lihv charge mode is 4.35V.

No tricks here is my 3000LiHV on charge right now. By default it charges the LiHV's to 4.35 volts. Just my charger I guess.
