Welcome Laurie! Hope you can get out to use it more soon. COVID Case numbers coming down!
They’re great fun and great pictures.
A few things I’d recommend.
Battery fully charged.
Picture of direction in app map shows same direction as drone is facing.
Wait for app to say “return to home point set” before blasting away.
Nice day! Low wind - and fly against the wind “outbound”.
No airports/check your fly zone/no crowds (rules see CASA).
Hey, so much else! Read the manual and check out this great forum!
Cheers,
Dave - WA

Thanks mate.
nice part of the country. I have family in Wycheproof. Hoping to get down at Christmas time and get some shots of the painted silos around the place. Also the salt lakes. Hopefully borders will start opening up

Welcome to the forum.
I hope you will find our site helpful and look forward to any input , photo's/video's you might post .
Don't be shy and ask anything if you can't find it by searching . ?

A big Texas Welcome to you from the friendly skies of Texas!

Haven’t flown in Australia yet. Guess I'll have to see it thru your lens (a fine one). The MPP is a fabulous machine for the beginner and the pro alike. Lots of fellow Aussies can help you adjust to CASA regs, and over 100,000 others of us from around the world are here to help you advance as a pilot and photographer.

Be sure to read the manual! Be sure you practice using “Find My Drone”.
Chances are you’ll crash, and perhaps lose your Mav. Just be sure you know how to retrieve it! You might consider hacking FCC mode, which gives you greater signal strength, and helps prevent loss of connectivity.

Glad to have you with us!

Thank you all!
I'm getting into the videos at the moment they are great!
Using Lightroom and Photoshop for my editing of pics and have just purchased 8 tb of desktop storage!
Now.... I need to up my ram to 32 GB!
Can I use a bigger card in the MPP? I'm using 64 but I want to go to 128gb.
Also I am starting to use poi which is a bit of fun!

you are better off sticking with 64 gig cards as you dont want too much footage in one place in case of an issue, its better to change cards after you have flown a session
