Mavic pro platinum with DJI Goggles?

So I've ordered my Platinum and I'm tempted to pick up the DJI Goggles but have been getting mixed messages online about the range of the DJI Goggles.

Are there range limits when using the DJI Goggles?

From my experience (CE range only) the range is almost identical to that of the remote.

There are some new DJI Goggles. They look a whole lot cooler. So I would look into those first before clicking buy.
