Mavic Pro - Ready to go! - in OC socal

Apparently socal has a lot of Mavic pilots. I hope to count myself among them. Just bought a clean MP from another MPP member. Printed all gzillion pages of the "Missing Manual" (figure with a machine as complex as this, reading the intructions is probably warranted). And have a list of recommended youtube "how to" videos to watch. Got to say, this is all a little intimidating, but exciting at the same time. Like others, I have read many threads to try to get a head start. I am impressed by how friendly everyone seems to be. As I acquire some skills I hope to contribute back to this group.
