Would this be an option to use in case of a flyaway

Track your phone, wallet, keys & anything else with TrackR!

I like it has battery life for a year and it's small.
The downside is you need to be able to get within 100feet, is that even possible from the logs in the controller?

As you noted, it would only useful if you are nearby your Mavic. It would be better to invest in a tracker like the Marco Polo.

100ft would be better than nothing. Haven't received my Mavic yet, but I know I've spent a fair amount of time searching for my Parrot, only to find out it had been in the tree above me, out of sight. Judging from what I've seen in the DJI Go logs of my P3s, I believe 100ft would be useful. That is, assuming the problems that cause you to lose your drone were associated with GPS issues...

This one looks kinda promising, it's not that big and it's 24g only with GPS over 3G
It's not that expensive it's 30USD only... and can make a sound as well, that would have worked if stuck in a tree top.
