Mavic water damaged

My mavic zoom took a swim a few months ago and it’s still flying like a champ I’m wondering if anyone had any issues after the drone get submerged I’m currently thinking of getting a new gimbal camera set up but I really don’t know if the drone will last so only time will tell but if I do do you think it will last I’ve had no issues with taking off no errors nothing it flys like a champ does anyone think I should upgrade to the pro and save this drone for bee essein or should I just scrap it to save headeache in the future

You got lucky! My M2Z took a very quick dip in some shallow water. I had to send it in to DJI and they took a look. Lots of water damage to the mother board and other internals. If you want to scrap your M2Z you can scrap it my way

It depends how salty the water is to an extent and how much it got soaked.
But the bad news is, a lot of the time with water damage the demise of anything electronic happens slowly over a period of time.
Maybe weeks, maybe months and things start breaking.
But it does all depend on the type of water and how badly it got dunked.

Strange that you ask the question and when someone answers, you don’t seem to accept it.

Water damage, particularly if salt is involved, could cause a failure at anytime. By all means fly her till it drops, but may not be a good investment to spend money on

And it might well not for 3,6,9,12 months etc.
Or it might.
Things in water usually die slowly over time.

if lens did not get any mold inside after several months - you are fine, i guess. just remember it is not a submarine.

As we have shown numerous times the Mavic is very water resistant , however its the battery that you have to watch out for as that is the weakest link, low voltage and swelling , just keep an eye on that.
