Yes, I've got some thin foam that I'm going to cover it with. My concern at this point is the "Auto Land." Once I do my first test flight and all goes well I will be more confident. I have bean following what you have bean saying about heating the batteries and I'm taking your advise for sure!
Which 1 is that ? I been hesitant to change much until someone smarter than me says it's ok lolDid you change the battery parameter for max power? I tested a 22% charged battery and went 10m/s up for 50 seconds and no auto land. Voltage at 3.51v under load.
It's set to "400" how much should I raise it?Did you change the battery parameter for max power? I tested a 22% charged battery and went 10m/s up for 50 seconds and no auto land. Voltage at 3.51v under load.
I think I set my stock one to 600.It's set to "400" how much should I raise it?
Sounds good lolo. I'll give it a try as well thanks!I think I set my stock one to 600.
I think unless you're going full throttle, sport mode, into a headwind for minutes at a time it's probably fine to max that value out. DJI seems to have lowered this threshold on the M2.
This may be the first time the elusive Lolo has shown his hand.
Hahah, I'm always sharing setup tips all over the place. This may be the first time the elusive Lolo has shown his hand.
I hope he is feeling ok and not sick

I lowered the normal RC scale and increased tilt so when in ATTI mode the speed will be higher.
I don't have a battery mod M2 flying yet so can't test the heavy auto landing, so if one of you guys could test and post back.
I have not had the chance to 100% verify this, but I am fairly sure my suspicions that the heavy auto land manifests well before on a hover versus real straight line flying. This seems to have been verified on the last several modified class flights by the group. And cold batteries also seem to accelerate the heavy auto land phenomenon.Hahah, I'm always sharing setup tips all over the place.

One more detail, I have avoided the heavy auto land (I assume) by getting a new bird with rev1 of software. I didn't query the group on what versions they flew on with a heavy load since this topic came up.I have not had the chance to 100% verify this, but I am fairly sure my suspicions that the heavy auto land manifests well before on a hover versus real straight line flying. Could you check to see if any parameters changed between updates? One more detail, I have avoided the heavy auto land (I assume) by getting a new bird with rev1 of software. I didn't query the group on what versions they flew on with a heavy load since this topic came up.
I have left my shop for the weekend, will check Sunday night.Could you check to see if any parameters changed between updates?
The batcave sits idle for the weekend.I have left my shop for the weekend, will check Sunday night.
I did this test yesterday and it does appear that forward flight does hinder the Auto Land. I only heated the Main battery before flight, no parameter mods. I am on AC version .0100 and using the Hobbystar 8000mah HV battery. AUW 1485.I have not had the chance to 100% verify this, but I am fairly sure my suspicions that the heavy auto land manifests well before on a hover versus real straight line flying.
