Max distance

I flew my Mavic Mini for the first time today.
Where I fly is marked as a 'grey zone' on the geo fencing map.
I found that I was limited to 200ft altitude, which I understand is a limitation in such a zone, but I also found when I flew out to 1,500ft I was told Max distance reached. Is this also a result of the geo fencing? As far as I am aware the distance scale in the app was set of max.
Any answers would be appreciated.

check to see if you have your max distance set to 1500 in the app, AC and controller needs to be powered on
