This won't be good for anyone...

Mexican police discovered four men carting a kamikaze drone equipped with an IED and a remote detonator last week, in what analysts say is an example of cartels figuring out how to weaponizing UAVs.
The disturbing development is a manifestation of something top American security chiefs warned Congress about earlier this year when they said they feared terrorists would begin to use drones to attack targets within the U.S.

But hasn’t ISIS been doing this awhile?., Very scary when it’s closer to home.:(
It’s only matter of time when we as UAV operators have to be vigilant ourselves with other operators. Can you imagine? Your next store neighbor bombs you while on the back porch, oh hell no!
It’s coming folks! Be aware!

This kind of thing is likely to have significant fear factor but the payload of small UAVs is a bit limited to be really useful as a means of delivery, especially since they are not at all stealthy.
The UAV I am working on right now can lift up to 8 lbs.
The DJI S 1000 can lift this payload and has the ability to drop substantial
Ordinance.
But this is old news!

Yes - those are certainly more significant payloads when it comes to carrying explosive devices. The UAV in this report was a 3DR Solo.

One more nail in the coffin. Logic doesn't matter here, public opinion is all that matters. This may indeed be old news, but why is it news again?
