So I flew my Mini 2 for the first time in a couple of years, turned it on, updated software…did a calibration…all good……took off, home point updated and proceeded to go vertical…..got to about 150 feet when all of a sudden it started going backward……both controller sticks were neutral……it just kept flying….couldnt get it to go forward….and the distance kept increasing……couldn’t do a RTH………Had a message on the GO FLY APP that the forward/back stick was stuck in back mode……..but it was neutral…….drone hit about 3200 feet away when I just disconnected it…..luckily it came back and landed…….
First time I’ve had this happen….
Any thoughts? Tips? Bad controller? One thing tho is that the controllers battery light had only 2 dots of power……maybe I should of charged that up full?

Thanks in advance….

Any thoughts? Tips?
If you post your flight data we can see what was happening and have a good chance of identifying the cause of your incident and helping to prevent similar things in future.
Without the data, you'll only get people guessing and most aren't going to be relevant.

To post your flight data there are a couple of options ...

1. Go to DJI Flight Log Viewer | Phantom Help
Follow the instructions there to upload your flight record from your phone or tablet.
That will give you a detailed report on the flight data.
Come back and post a link to the report it provides and someone might be able to analyse it and give you an understanding of the cause of the incident.
or
2. Just post the .txt file here
or
3. If you use Airdata, you can view the flight data on Airdata and post a link for the Airdata report

If you are using one of the controllers with an integrated screen, the txt files are to be found here:
Android\data\dji.go.v5\files\FlightRecord

DJI Forum
Go to: DJI Flight Log Viewer | Phantom Help
... where you'll find instructions.
That will give a report you can post a link for the report here.

Or if you use Airdata, post a link to the Airdata report for the flight.

Or just post the .txt file.

If you used the RC controller, you'll find your files here:
Android\data\dji.go.v5\files\FlightRecord
