Mini 4 Pro 4x zoom in photo mode while executing a waypoint mission

I’m just now getting around to planning a waypoint mission on my Mini 4 Pro. I’ve noticed that there is a 4x digital zoom option when taking photos in a waypoints mission. Does anyone know if it will actually zoom 4x in a waypoints mission while taking photos? I know I have to place the setting on video and 1080p when zooming 4x while flying manually.

Just was able to fly my first waypoint mission after several days of rainy windy weather. The zoom worked well, but I was taking video, not photos. That said, you could grab a screenshot from a video and develop it as a photo.
