the obstical avoidance is turned off or on brake, the airdrop device makes drone thinks it is close ground and it keeps rising, the drop device is coving the body to rear of bottom l light, i guess it is covering a sensor.
i have taken off via sticks to turn on motors and then taking off. Also had sport mode on to insure avoidance is off. same result. any ideas?

It's covering the visual positioning sensor (VPS) on the belly of the drone which usually can't be turned off, if that sensor is sensing something closer than 0,5m the drone tries to ascend.

The sensor you mention is the VPS sensor that measures the distance between the drone and what is below it.
It is separate from the Obstacle Avoidance system and is not turned off when you disable OA or switch to Sport Mode.
If covering the VPS sensor is causing a problem, the solution is to not block the VPS sensors.

a google search solved it.
To turn off the visual position sensor on a DJI Mini 4 Pro, open the DJI Fly app, navigate to the "Safety" tab, then go to "Advanced Safety Settings" where you can disable the "Vision Positioning and Obstacle Sensing" option; this effectively turns off the visual sensors including the downward vision.
thanks for tip on VPS

What are you Dropping from your Drone?

If its not too light making the string much longer can help adding a small weight in the bag will help keep it from going too crazy in the wind. Just test it first lol.
