Mini5 plus battery in Mini4???

Ok, were you the one who posted a few days ago saying your standard battery equipped M5P is broadcasting standard RID but refused to provide any more proof? I forget if that was you or someone else....lost track of it.
Why would I make this up? I'm not posting the serial number on a public forum but I'd be happy to share what my drone scanner APP finds every time I fire her up through a private channel. LMK

Who's asking for the serial number? Hopefully you don't think that has anything to do with RID. This is why we are asking, often the details are confusing. What is the model number or the sku number for your M5P battery? Sorry if this has been asked and provided previously, I may have missed it. Do you have part 107? Don't think you are "making it up" it's just that when something goes contrary to what DJI is declaring, it's helpful to put *all* the relevant facts out there if we can; like the sw version for your drone and controller please.....eh, not the serial number. ;)

I DID NOT.
OK.
Looking for other distinguishing details that might help explain the aberration.

1. Did you purchase it as a Mini Pro Plus battery combo, or a Mini 5 Pro Regular battery combo?
2. From where did you purchase it?
3. Have you ever flown it with any other Mini battery from any prior Mini iteration (Mini 2, Mini 3 Pro, Mini 4 Pro), other than this one Regular Mini 5 Pro battery?
4. Do you own a Mini 5 Pro Plus battery?
5. How do you know for sure that the battery in question is, in fact, a Mini 5 Pro Regular and not a Mini 5 Pro Plus battery?

Do we have independent positive confirmation from other Mini 5 Pro owners in the U.S. that it is not broadcasting RID when flying with the Regular Mini 5 Pro battery, or were we merely speculating that because the User Manual states it won't broadcast RID when flying with the Regular Mini 5 Pro battery, that it wouldn't?

I'll answer my own questions.
Much to my dismay, I have just positively confirmed that the Mini 5 Pro is broadcasting RID with BOTH batteries using my DroneTag RIDER.
Conversely, on the Mini 4 Pro, it properly does not broadcast RID with its Regular battery, but does with its Plus battery.

So why does DJI fraudulently claim in the M5P User Manual that RID will not be broadcast while flying with the M5P Regular battery?

That's the ONLY reason I purchased the M5P, and purposely bought it with 4 Regular batteries!

Even DJI USA Support is still claiming it does not broadcast RID in the United States with the Regular battery, but we now have positive proof that it ALWAYS DOES!

Hopefully, this is a bug that can be fixed with an immediate FW update!

Otherwise, I'll have to return it to my Korean seller for a full refund before my 30 day return window expires, as it was sold under false pretenses.

Here's some information to add to the hopper. I have only plus batteries for the Mini 5 Pro, no standard batteries, so I couldn't directly check the results @GadgetGuy found.

But, I tried a Mini 4 Pro standard battery (with 249 gram marking) in the Mini 5 Pro. The drone broadcast RID, as shown by the Drone Scanner app. I tried multiple takeoffs, a power down and restart cycle on the drone, and two cycles of powering down both the controller and the drone and restarting. In all cases, the drone broadcast RID after takeoff.

As it should, because the 249 grams marked on the Mini 4 Pro regular battery refers to the takeoff weight when installed in the Mini 4 Pro, not the M5P, because the only battery which is light enough to come close to 249g in the heavier M5P aircraft, without any battery inserted, is the regular M5P battery.

The Mini 3 Pro Regular battery in the Mini 4 Pro will also broadcast RID for the same reason. The Mini 3 Pro regular battery is heavier than the Mini 4 Pro regular battery, so it puts the Mini 4 Pro takeoff weight over 249g, just like the Mini 4 Pro regular battery does in the M5P.

Each successive Mini has gotten heavier, requiring an even lighter standard battery to make the 249g weight class, which makes it exempt from RID and pilot registration.
