Mini 5 Pro is Broadcasting RID with ALL Batteries, Including the Mini 5 Pro Standard Battery

When one flies with the Mini 5P, and it broadcasts RID, does it "tattle" which battery it's using?

Do those that have the ability to scan for / locate the drone's RID receive information that the drone is flying with the Standard Battery or the Plus battery?

Or does it just say "Yep. There's a drone there, broadcasting it's serial number & location"?

I'm wondering because: If someone has an unregistered M5P, and both a Plus battery and a Standard battery, and all batteries broadcast the same info: how would FAA or whomever (theoretically) is scanning for these things know if you're currently flying an unregistered-but-compliant <249g drone or an unregistered-non-compliant >249g drone?

Let's be honest, we don't know if the FAA is even "detecting" RID.

I do agree with you, but I will point out that the original Mavic Mini can detect the extra weight of the prop guards and imposes a lower max altitude.
While it can obviously detect the presence of DJI prop guards, it would be far easier do so by many other methods other than actually detecting the extra weight. Installing the prop guards properly likely triggers their presence via a sensor specifically designed for this purpose.

The Remote ID broadcast does not contain any information about which battery is being used. It was originally designed to not broadcast RID by using the Mini 5 Pro standard battery. Now that it broadcasts RID with all batteries, nothing has changed about the information being broadcast. It continuously broadcasts the the drone model, the S/N, the drone location, and the pilot's location.

The FAA itself isn't, but various other entities are or can, especially around sensitive locations, including everyone with a proper RID detection app or device, which includes LEO, FAR, security, airports, prisons, etc. and all sophisticated Karens!
