Sorry if this has been discussed. I have flown a P4 several times but probably still considered a rookie. I turned off first time fly mode as I know how to fly but what about the modes. Is ATTI just fine to fly in? Will RTH etc or is gps better?

P mode is best if you want your Phantom to be able to hover in place. When flying in ATTI mode, your Phantom will drift horizontally with the wind. As long as your Phantom has a good GPS connection, it'll be able to RTH no matter which mode you manually switch to.
