Morocco and drones

I will be travelling via Morocco (stop over flight) with my DJI Mini drone. Unfortunately I learned about harsh drone regulations in Morocco after buying tickets. Several articles on the internet suggest that it is possible to declare drone at customs, have it stored for a small fee, and returned upon departure. Those articles were written several years ago and I am not sure as to whether it is indeed possible still to leave drone with customs for the duration of stay in Morocco.

Anyone has been travelling to Morocco with drone recently?

I look forward to reading any reply to your post. There should be a forum for tourists who want to enhance their travels by taking a drone on their vacation. Info on rules and restrictions, etc.
I also plan to visit China (where DJI drones originate) and I would love to find out if taking my Mini Pro 3 to China is possible. If anyone knows the rules for bringing mini drones into China while on vacation, please share your experience.
