Yes , the problem with all the aluminum ones is they rattle , and have to be adjusted because they get loose frequently.
We make are own using Neoprene discs that seat inside the motors that come with our Mini 2 Wet Suits.

If you end up buying them try to compare the threads of the screws with the threads on the DJI screws before you try to fit them. Given the similarities between the MM and the Mini 2 I wouldn't be too surprised if some people mix up the covers for the two.
Their screws have different threads and are incompatible with one another, as are the prop blades. There are a couple of threads on here asking if you can swap props etc. and there is mention of the differences in those threads.

I assume if they were necessary DJI would have put them into the design. As they Didn’t I’m assuming there’s a good reason such as overheating the motors.

I used the Mini 1 version extensively on my Mavic Mini to prevent front propellers hitting the body, they do not increase motor temperatures and they do certainly not rattle as they are screwed and thread locked in place. I will not be using them on my Mini 2 as I hand launch/ catch and thankfully the prop strike issue has been resolved with the design of the Mini 2

I also had them on my mini one for a year with no overheating and they never came loose and I live in Phoenix Arizona,the ones with 2 big holes that the props sit into may come loose ,that I could see but the other version worked perfect and of course I learned the hard way that when I bought my mini 2 I tried to put the ones I had into it and the screws are a different thread on the mini 2 but then I supposedly ordered a set that said they were for the mini 2 and of course the company either didn’t know that the screws are different sizes or they were just trying to get rid of old stock and labeled it mini 2 motor covers but I sent them back and I’m still waiting on my new ones to come,they supposedly promised me they will double check them before they ship them out but I had to argue with this company and actually send them a video showing how they don’t fit,so be careful if you order a set fir the mini 2 that they are the right ones and if they are,they work flawlessly,like I said I ran them fir a year without one issue!!,Hope this helps someone!!
