Motor problem caused by a crash

Hello everyone,

i am a newbie to the whole drone technology. But i really need help with my drone.

i have attached a photo of the motor that feels weird.

so i was flying the drone indoor and hit something then it fell on the ground and apparently it hit that motor first because all the others are working perfectly. I tried to fly it again it didn’t work i tried 4 times then it worked fine. The problem is that it’s not as smooth as the others motors. When i turn the round grey thing under the propellers, i feel like there’s something blocking it. I dont know how to explain it but it’s not as smooth as the other 3 motors, i need a tiny bit more force to turn it and there’s a sound when i turn it.

The drone flies perfectly but when i fly it, it heats more than the usual and i think it’s because of that problem because it wasn’t like that before.

i tried new propellers and everything the propell are very smooth and there’s no problem.

I have attached another photo of the exact part that feels. Bit weird so you can understand exactly what i meant.

You probably do need a new motor, most likely a bent shaft or out of balance from the crash . . . there is nothing obvious jammed in there under the prop / in the motor causing the stiffness / roughness of operation ?

If replacement is needed, they are not terribly expensive if you can do the replacement yourself.
Looks like simple 'plug 'n' play', and some soldering tools / skills required . . . plenty of videos on YouTube show you how.

The motor comes as a complete arm . . . (example below, there may be other sources)

So being there in the UAE, reading a recent thread here I think it was, drones are now banned there to fly ?
Or only some places in the UAE ?

i was searching for that video thank you so much. I did put some oil the one we use for our shaving machines and the sound has disappeared so i think that solved the problem.

Two possibilities. A bent shaft or contamination in the motor.
Contamination may possibly be removed with high pressure air.
The bent shaft would mean replacement of the motor.
Adding oil may be a temporary fix, but may then result in a failure in the air at a latter time.

Could have been some minor particles, dust, dirt, sand (?) had got in there, and the oil may have helped disperse it.
Would have been good to blow it out with a little air lightly from various angles in motor openings, maybe upside down etc to remove as much as possible first (assuming it might have been contamination).
I suppose do that anyway and see how it goes on short controlled test flights, very close, low, away from any dangers if it did fail and the drone came down.
Check temps of the motor as you did before at times, as you gently push the drone harder through stages, see if it is more normal like the others.
If so, you can probably trust it more as positive results hopefully become evident.

Blow it out gently with a can of "dust off" or whatever "air" is a can.
Then I would look for the motor bell being bent, or like above, a bent motor shaft.
I would refrain from adding oil, as it may just collect dust/dirt from take off and landings...
