Motorola Moto G6 Plus in Mavic Air controller

Does anyone know if the Motorola Moto G6 Plus fits in the Mavic Air controller? I'm thinking of buying one specifically for that usage as the screen seems to be good in sunlight. Also, it's nice to keep your ordinary phone separate from the controller and not have to plug in and unplug that one all the time...

GSM Arena specifies the size as 160 x 75.5 x 8 mm which seems pretty close to the specified max size of the controller (Supported Mobile Device Size Max length: 160 mm Supported Thickness: 6.5-8.5 mm).

(Another spec I find says the G6 Plus is 159,9 × 75,5 × 7,99 mm.)

It'll definitely fit. The remote controller arms can open to 6 3/4" (about 171 mm). And if you angle them (like in the photo below), they can open even further.
