My Adorama Protection Experience Mini 4 Pro Crashed

I purchased a Mini 4 pro and 2 years protection. Drops, spills, crashes..... A month later I had a crash, contact Adorama's protection service.
The ask for pictures, I provided said including screen recording.
They send a shipping label, I drop it off, as soon as its scanned I get a copy of the shipping label for it returning to me. An hour later I get a notice the drone is repaired and being sent to me. ❓. I call and was told it will be 3 to 5 weeks! I tell them about the emails and shipping labels and its like talking to a tree. I'm in week 5 now.
The name of the protection service they use is Extend. They are not a part of Adorama, they are a service they use but its not making them look very good.
 
You purchased bot insurance.
No wonder it's like talking to a tree.

Extend has bad reviews.
 
My two cents for what its worth ,I use State Farm for all my drones 7 years in about 4 years ago i turned in a claim .Within 45 minutes they had a bank transfer for entire amount in my bank account COOL RIGHT. 9 months ago I again turned in a claim for a brand new Air 3s bottom of a 40 foot channel .That claim took 6 weeks .State Farm rocks but stuff seems to have changed

Yes, got caught sleeping I guess, more than 5 weeks now I have asked Adorama for a refund as I suspect the service is a scam. Sigh..........
 
Still no Drone back from Extend. In the 6th week now. Spoke with Adorama today requesting management get it resolved ASAP and was told it will be in 1 to 2 days. Sigh..............

No. 10 weeks now. I think these people were dumb enough to send it to DJI and have it stuck in customs.
I let them know I am suspicious there is illegal activity or fraud happening and want either my drone, a replacement, or a refund, and you deal with your repair or replace issues.

I think they were dumb enough to rebrand DJI protection or something.

Here is the reply, Note the shuck over to Extend. I didn't buy it from Extend. I purchased the Extend policy in Adrorma's cart.

I want to clarify the situation as transparently as possible. The item you’re referring to is covered under a manufacturer warranty that is administered by a separate company. Because of this, replacements and warranty decisions must be handled directly through them. We are not authorized to issue a replacement independently or bypass their process.

That said, there is nothing fraudulent or dishonest occurring—this is simply how the warranty is structured. I agree the delay is unfortunate, and I understand why it feels unacceptable from your perspective.

Adorama selling the Extend policy does not make them responsible for the policy fulfillment. All 3rd party insurance purchased at time of sale works the same way. They can only explain the process, and refer you back to the insurer, which they have done as politely as possible. At most, Adorama could only refund the policy purchase price, which won't replace your drone. However, that would be premature, as they have determined that nothing fraudulent or dishonest is occurring, and Extend is still handling the claim, albeit not as fast as you would like. As DJI likes to say, "Thanks for waiting patiently."

That sounds incredibly frustrating. To clarify for the thread: Extend received and repaired your drone in an hour, yet their phone support insists it’s still a 3-5 week process? That contradiction is unacceptable.

Obviously, the notice of the repaired drone being returned to him immediately after the scan of the drop off of the drone for shipping to Ensure for evaluation was in error! LOL!
