I was flying my new Mavic 2 Zoom last Sunday and it just fell out of the sky without any warning. I was testing the auto track feature and set it to follow my family's car. As soon as they turned into the corner and stop at the intersection I just saw the drone just plummeting down. I didn’t think it hit anything, as you can see on the video it stopped recording just right when the car stopped and there is no obstacle around it. Besides it would have given me a warning. I was flying way above houses and light posts and there's no tall trees around my neighborhood. I could not believe my eyes, I just run and retrieved it in the middle of the road. The battery was ejected with the impact and found it not too far from the drone. I was more concern if it hit anything below but I always make sure I fly it very early when there's not a lot of people out in my neighborhood. The battery was still above 60 percent. I just came back from vacation in Brazil and I flew it in Rio without any issue. I just got it few days before I left for my vacation last Sept 19. I sent an email to DJI since online support is closed on the weekends, hopefully I hear back from them soon. I'm a bit disappointed because I sold my Mavic Pro to upgrade to Mavic 2 Zoom. I never had an issue with my previous one and this is supposed to be much safer so I did not purchase the DjI Refresh Care package.
I was trying to attach the video but I'm getting the message " the video is not in the allowed format". Any idea how to fix this so I can share the video.
I still haven’t heard from DJI support since I sent an email 2 days ago
