I just received my replacement Air and I’ve updated the firmware, registered with the FAA and all I need now is my N number. Unfortunately I don’t know it or where to find it. Anyone able to help? Thanks

Your N number is just your FAA registration number - Check your junk email or log on the FAA site with your account when you registered it here:

FAADroneZone

It will be there unless you paid one of those private ripoff .com or .net websites to register it for you and didnt go through the actual $5 online FAA website to do it... sorry if you did.

If you’re not registered as Part 107 I don’t believe it will be an N number. But if you registered with the FAA it will be in the email confirmation you received.

I used the proper site. Deactivate the one I no longer have and add the new one. So I just put an N in front of the new number on the new certificate?

No. You use the number the FAA gives you after registering.

Again, if you really registered through the FAA site you can sign in and find your existing number, which is good to use on as many drones as you own. Why would you deactivate a number you already paid for and pay for another one? Why would you alter the number?

It seems like you’re making this more complicated than it needs to be.

Msinger is correct, there isnt a “N” in our number like planes have. Its that long, boring one the FAA site lists for you.

Glad you didn’t get riped off, can’t believe how bad of a scam those other sites are running.

If you are a Part 107 flier, did you see the “manage UAS inventory” link in there? Thats where you register each drone and get a specific number for them..

And if you are registered as a hobby flier under Part 336, you just register once and keep the same number and put it on all your drones- keeps it simple that way.

I agree. I don’t know why I’m struggling with this.
First one was a breeze. When I bought my 3D printer shipping was free but my internet wanted to charge me $399.99. So maybe there’s a technical problem at this time but I can’t find squat. Thanks for the help I’ll get it figured out.
