I saw a hack where he took the strap from the fly more combo bag and slipped and tied it through the arms of the remote, it would have to be tied and untied each time however.

Be careful with that type, I have read two posts where they have leaned over (without their hand loosely on the rc) and the connector separated the rc from the device and both hit the ground with casualties.
