Need Battery Codes for Mavic 4 Pro

when you say no change, what is your current symptom? are the left and right led pairs still alternating back and forth when a battery is inserted?

Doesn’t anyone read manuals any more?

So, are you suggesting that the OP has somehow inadvertently enabled "Allow QuickTransfer in Sleep" and needs to disable "Allow QuickTransfer in Sleep." to restore normal battery functionality?

BTW, the OP did ask for a copy of the User Manual, but was unable to access it from the DJI US site.

Well, that’s what that sequence of flashing lights mean, according to the manual and the video shows it exactly as described by the manual. It’s similar to both the mini 4 and 5 pro sequence. If there is something wrong with a DJI battery it will let you know, normally by repeatedly flashing a set of lights, not by running a sequence for 15 seconds and then stopping.
Doesn’t anyone in the USA use a VPN to hide their true location? Just set it to show your apparent location to be in a European country and you’ll have access to an English version of the manual. It’s really difficult, not. Even a grumpy old git like me can do it!

GadgetGuy "has somehow inadvertently enabled "Allow QuickTransfer in Sleep" and needs to disable "Allow QuickTransfer in Sleep." to restore normal battery functionality"
That is what is suspected.

BossBob - I did receive and search the manual.

I understand the sleep mode and that the lights should alternate during transfer of files via cable. DJI says it is stuck in the Sleep mode (they called it standby mode), It stays in the sleep mode when there is no cable connected, and when there has been a hard shut off and the battery removed. It continues after being off without any power (no battery) for over 12 hours as DJI suggested) I went 15 hours). When the battery is fully charged and the unit is turned on it continues. DJI does not know why it won't come out of sleep mode and said they recommend not flying while they research why.

My whole issue is is although Sleep Mode is normal, not shutting off is not. And since it does not and DJI does not know why, I don't want to fly a 5k drone not knowing if it will cause a problem while in the air.

FYI: Also during the first call I had with DJI the tech said this has happened and may happen once a year, and possible more. But that letting it sit with NO battery installed for at least 12 hours will clear it. So apparently I am not the first to have the problem of Sleep Mode not turning off. Yet they don't know why and whether or not it will cause a problem in flight.

Fire up DJI fly and the drone. Connect to the drone so you can press the … in the top right. Go to the camera page. Scroll right to the bottom of the page. There should be a setting there for enabling quick transfer in sleep. It doesn’t appear for a mini 4 pro which doesn’t have standby mode but does for the mini 5 pro.image.jpg

BossBob, Thank You! I will try that this morning. Surprised DJI didn't mention that. They said there is no way to manually turn it off.

You are welcome. Let’s hope it works!

DJI Fly needs its own “how to use app”. Enter drone, firmware version, fly version, and it comes up with the manual for that combination.

How do you know its stuck in sleep mode? Honestly after reading the manual and watching your video I feel like there was some miscommunication between you and DJI and the drone is acting as designed. By pressing the power button you are literally turning on sleep mode: "To restore sleep mode, make sure there is no USB-C connection to the aircraft, and then press the power button once and wait for about 15 seconds." Unless the left and right led pairs are randomly alternating back and forth without you pushing the power button or attempting to connect for quick transfer, I'm not sure why you think its stuck in sleep mode and something is wrong?

Also you can access all the Mavic 4 downloads and info on DJI's website without using a VPN. Just go to their store website and set your location to Canada. Then when you go on their normal website, all the Mavic 4 stuff will be available. @BossBob

Thanks for that. I was just giving an option in case the DJI manuals were blocked at the OP’s location for some reason.

The turning off Quick Transfer did successfully stop the alternating lights. I did some testing and found that if I have the battery in the bird when transferring files it causes it to stay in this mode. And BossBob's suggestion turns it off Quick Transfer stop this. On the next startup and shutdown, they no longer come on and alternate even after pushing the power button once. I then transferred files again with the battery in and it repeated the problem. So the lesson is do not leave the battery in when transferring.
I am surprised DJI did not figure this out, I presented them with the same text and video show above. They simply told me there is no manual way to reset it other than letting the bird sit for at least 12 hours with no power.

Thanks for everyone's time and assistance. The other positive side to the above issue is RipTide's input providing all a way to source M4 files from DJI. Again, thanks to all.

You’re very welcome for the assistance.

I do want to reiterate for anyone that finds this thread in a search later that based on the manual and how I understand your description of the symptoms thus far, I do not believe anything was ever malfunctioning and that the concern from the DJI rep was likely due to a miscommunication.

As @Meta4 has stated, DJI support is staffed by donkeys! LOL!

Not quite fair. Like most support groups, they're just underpaid people with little experience with drones and no job training with drones who are working primarily from scripts.
They are basically chatbots, and nothing they say can be relied upon, and yet they pretend to speak with authority, leading people to foolishly believe what they are being told, even though it is often complete and utter rubbish! They also "hallucinate" answers as much as AI does!
