British Airways limits the "handbag" to 40 x 30 x 15cm (16 x 12 x 6").

I really like my Lowepro DroneGuard BP 250. It's just over the 6" thickness, but well over the 16" height at about 18".

The older BP 200 would meet the airline's size limits, but they're no longer for sale. Can anyone recommend an alternative?

See my post at:

I see posts by people showing these bulky overprotected carrying cases. The case I use has shown in the picture has been all over the world. It carries not only my mavic 2 Pro, two extra batteries, smart controller, filters and other accessories but also my Olympus om2, telephoto lens, and small binoculars. It rides comfortably in the nook of my back while hiking or walking around a city. At a moment's notice swing it in front of me while still on the carrying strap zip it open and have my drone and your camera out in a flash.

And it looks like they no longer offer such bags. :-(

while not a backpack I carry my Mavic 4 Pro in one of these bags seems to make barely make most of those limits

My trip was a success and I had no bag size issues either going or coming home.

Actually, I'm a bit disappointed I went through the trouble of changing bags. The new, smaller bag isn't as convenient to use as my Lowepro DroneGuard BP 250. Also, I saw MANY handbags (aka personal bags) that clearly exceeded the published limits.

The old adage, "better safe than sorry," comes to mind.
Good to hear of your safe return.
