Does anyone else have this controller and worked out how to export videos from the internal memoey of the controller to a computer?
I thought it should be straight forward and just can't manage to do it. Obviously one should just use an SD card but this controller allows you to store recorded videos directly to the internal memory and yet it won't allow you to download them via a USB-C cable. There's a quick transfer option to a smart phone but I'm shooting full res 6K videos that I need to edit so I want a direct to computer transfer.

The DJI recommendation is to use a third party Android file share app in tandem with a USB-C cable which I've done and onces you connect the controller to the computer it shows the menu structure of the RC2 Pro but which doesn't show the internal memory's record of the video files. They are just not there. The actual videos are also only accessible when the controller is linked to the Drone and you can then only see them in the 'Album' option but from there you can't download them or do anything with them. If you go through the settings and file structure of the controller you still can't find the videos. It's totally crazy. I've reached out to DJI and they are slow to come up with a solution. Is this a design fault with their new controller or am I simply missing something here? I als tried inserting an SD card and going into the folder settings and copy folders from the internal memory to the SD card and that works but still you can't access the internal videos recorded to be able to copy them.

Is there anyone here using this controller and shooting to the internal memory that's had better luck than me? I have found absolutely no information online with a guide on how to achieve this for the DJI RC2 Pro

I only have the Mavic 2 Pro with the old Smart controller. However, if the 4 is like mine, then the controller only stores low res. images, to give you an idea of what you recorded using the drone.

It is the Micro SD card or the internal storage on the drone that has the actual full res files of whatever you videoed or took a still photo of, not the controller.

Maybe that's why the actual videos are only accessible when the controller is linked to the drone, because they are effectively only in the drone's internal memory, or on whatever Micro SD card you inserted into the drone, to be recorded to.

Have you checked your drone on its own yet, or the Micro SD card you inserted in the drone, for your video files? That is most likely where you will want to go for the full res. files of whatever you recorded.

Forget the controller.
The original image files are saved to the SD card in your drone or the internal storage in the drone.
It quick and simple to either pop the card, put it in a $3 USB adapter and put that in your computer ...
or
For internal storage .. Connect the drone to the computer with a USB cable and copy across to your computer.

You are a legend!!! i really should have just plugged the usb-c cable directly into the drone. Your exactly right. just checked and that is exactly where the files are stored. I also have the Mavic Pro 2 and used to use a micro SD card, just I got confused as DJI advertised the controller's internal memory etc and thought this new RC Pro 2 stored the files internally but nah its still the Drone storing them. Thanks again for your obvious but invaluable assistance
